Cancellation Policy and Coronavirus (COVID-19)

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak, known as COVID-19, as a global pandemic. Since then, the outbreak has evolved rapidly and governments around the world have taken rapid steps to slow the spread of COVID-19.

In response, we are providing the following coverage for COVID-19 under the Portuguese Law 17/2020 of 23rd April 2020. Please keep an eye on this page for updates on coverage.

All non refundable bookings made in all Online Platforms between March 13 and 30th September 2020, are covered by this policy and may be canceled prior to check-in. Guests who cancel will have a refund of the total paid, as a voucher, to use until the end of December 2021.

 

Summary

If you are unable to travel in your booked dates, please contact us as soon as you can. We would be pleased to assist to postpone your trip to a time that you would be able to travel again.

However, we understand that this might be a difficult time to reschedule everything. In this case, and following the Portuguese Law on this subject, exceptionally and temporarily, guests have the right to choose:

a) Issue a voucher of equal value to the payment made by you and valid until December 31, 2021;

b) Reschedule the reservation until December 31, 2021, by agreement between the guest and Algarve Golden Properties.

 

How it works

As soon as you notice that you wouldn’t be able to travel due to COVID-19, contact us to start the process. If you decide to postpone your trip, add the new dates in your contact form, so we can check availability and reschedule the booking,

If you decide to cancel the booking, we will issue the voucher in the total amount paid and give you the chance to book new dates later.

Voucher Terms & Conditions

  • The voucher can be used by those who present it also as a principle of payment for services of a higher value, according to our  availability and under the conditions applicable on the new intended dates.
  • If the rescheduling is done for a date when the applicable tariff is below the value of the initial reservation, the difference must be used in other services of our company and will not be returned to the guest if he does not use it.
  • Rescheduling can only be done directly with guests and Algarve Golden Properties.
  • The provisions of this policy are not applicable to refundable reservations, in which case the rules for the cancellation of tourist undertakings and Algarve Golden Properties must apply.
